Hi Eric,

Thanks for direct answers to both of questions!

At 07:41 PM 4/10/04, you wrote:

I have no problem with the 1.50 kHz filter "as is" since
I like to scan the band with a wide CW filter. I don't plan to
build the SSB option and have no need to listen to SSB. I
was mainly curious about the strange BW measurements, but
apparently there is a sharp peak on top of a wider plateau in
the 1.50....which is really not a problem for scanning the band.

I believe you mean by this that 400 Hz has the best
6/60 dB shape factor, which seems to agree with KI6WX's
measurements. I was just wondering if perhaps 300 or 500
might be better, but will assume 400 is best since you are
the person who should know!

Thanks for your response and for a great product! If
I have only half as much fun using it as building it, I'll be very
happy!

P.S. The guys at T33C seem to be doing well with their "all K2"
operation. If I were going on an expedition, I believe I would take
a K2 because of its performance and ease of repair. I worked
them on 160 this morning and they seemed to be hearing very
well through the QRN.
