Johnny,

The bandpass filter alignment on transmit provides an easier to observe peak
than on receive.  The peaks observed while doing the TX alignment are more
correct.

The receive Pre-Alignment allows you to set the inductors and capacitors
quite close to the proper value and allows the transmit alignment to be done
quickly.  If you found peaks during the transmit alignment that required a
lot of change, I recommend that you start over with the receive
pre-alignment and proceed on to re-do the transmit alignment.

I constructed a number of K2 in the past and my latest rig is S/N 4165.  In
the manual, page 76, the filters are pre-alignment on RX.  After that, they
are re-align on TX, page 77.

However, I find the PEAKs at RX are not the same at TX.  I would wonder how
are your choices.  Could I share with your experience.
