Elecraft has a fine range of kits available to meet almost all
requirements. I suspect that they are the finest kits ever produced.
However, I have one reservation about them. That is that they are
simply so good that no level of "home brew" knowledge is required or
gained in their construction and the finished product is so perfect
that very few people will feel the urge to dabble inside. They also
set an unreachably high standard for "home brew" constructors.

Striving for perfection is a wonderful thing but once it's achieved,
there is nothing left to do. Should we be praising these kits or
worrying about their effect on home construction?
