[Elecraft] KPA100 RS232 problem

Hi all,
I am having trouble with the KPA100 serial port. The AUX I/O works fine, but 
the RXD line of the RS232 port in my KPA100 is not functioning. I can send a 
test message to the computer but cannot send from the computer to the 
K2/100. Also Ham Radio Deluxe will not establish communications with the 
K2/100 I get a "Faile To Read Frequency" message.

My setup runs well with the KIO2, so I believe the problem lies somewhere in 
the KPA100 not in the cables or computer setup. I have checked continuity 
(all the way to the control board) and resistance in the RS232 interface 
circuit and cannot find any opens or shorts. The solder joints have been 
reheated as well.

I am out of ideas on what to look for? Any help on how to diagnose will be 
appreciated.
