What a great call. You will not have to do the traditional
ending . ... . since it will have already been done!

Congrats,

Subject: [QRP-L] KG6CYN Call Sign Retired...

Hey Gang,

It's Official...My call KG6CYN has been retired. After 3 weeks working 12 to
14 hour days in WI, I decided to check to see if my application went
through. Well, it did and the new call is K6ESE.

I applied for the call because KG6CYN was just too long on CW, and since CW
is the mode that I use the most a shorter call seemed better. Plus ESE
really rolls off the fingers ;-) I've always liked the way Lloyd K3ESE and
Monty N5ESE's calls sounded on the air, so that's where I got the idea. The
thing that finally pushed me into doing it was Len K6LEC. We were in QSO one
night a couple of weeks ago and I heard the same sentiment "Trev, if you
really like CW you need a shorter call for CW". Guess I'd been putting it on
the back burner and was planning to do it when I upgraded to Extra class
(whenever I get a round tuit), but when I checked and saw K6ESE was
available I applied for it...

So, next time you're on the air and hear K6ESE, it'll be me...

Time to update e-mail, web site etc...

Take care all...

73's Trev - K6ESE
