Good Evening,
Every time I say that it gives me chills. As if Alfred Hitchcock is
about to present one of his shows. But in any case there will be two nets
this week. The times will be the same local times as normal and the zulu
times will change due to Mr Franklin's daylight savings plan. Thus the 20
meter net is at 2300z and the 40 meter net is at 0200z. My apologies to
the folks in parts of Indiana, Arizona, and Hawaii that don't have to put
up with this. Hopefully the propagation will reward us all. Lately 20
meters has been very good about that time of day.
Next week may be a problem however. I will not be in Oregon but rather
in New Mexico. I will have my radio with me but I don't know if I will be
able to put up a very effective antenna. I am in a quandry over whether I
should simply call of the net or whether I should have an alternate stand
in my place. Might give me a chance to check in if I can be heard but it
does place un-needed stress on the alternate op. I may get lucky and land
a very good antenna in Albuquerque but then again I may not.
But that is in the future. Tomorrow I will try to start a bit early to
check in folks who may wish to run more slowly or just want to be first on
the list :) It worked well last week and I got the frequencies I'd listed
in my announcement. It may just work again this week. Please look at
http://ecn.visionseer.com/ for changes or details.

20 meters at 2300z Sunday (4 PM PDT Sunday) on 14050 kHz or there abouts.

40 meters at 0200z Monday (7 PM PDT Sunday) on 7045 kHz or down (I need to
avoid
an SSB net north of the border). Hope it is as good as it was last week!

73,
Kevin. KD5ONS (Net Control Operator 5th Class)
