I bet there is a problem here around the pin diode rx/tx circuit. (my =
guess)  too bad this is intermittant, it makes it hard to find.

I bet there is a problem with 8r or 8t, since dits seem to fix the =
problem (temporarily).  8r and 8t are not exact inverses of each other =
as there is sequencing involved.  i would look around the follower =
transistors on the control board.  I had a leaky 2n7000 on my k2 that =
would not allow 8r to turn off completely in transmit.  the same could =
occur in receive if Q3 (on the control board)is leaky.
