Hi folks,
>I have found that hitting the key returns the receiver to normal =
operation.
That sounds like a problem I've seen on low level analog circuits.
If connector contact pressure is not high enough, corrosion can slide =
between
contacts and open up the circuit. When you "wet" the contact by =
applying
enough voltage and current, that insulating layer breaks down. That's =
why a
lot of low voltage connectors use gold contacts, and old telephone =
circuits
used such high voltages.
The center pin socket on UHF connectors could be the problem if the =
leaves that
hug the center pin have lost tension.
