Hi folks,

That sounds like a problem I've seen on low level analog circuits.

If connector contact pressure is not high enough, corrosion can slide =
between
contacts and open up the circuit.  When you "wet" the contact by =
applying
enough voltage and current, that insulating layer breaks down.  That's =
why a
lot of low voltage connectors use gold contacts, and old telephone =
circuits
used such high voltages.

The center pin socket on UHF connectors could be the problem if the =
leaves that
hug the center pin have lost tension.
