The MFJ-1425 switcher is the only switcher I have tried that does not caus=
e
hash on the lower bands when used with close-in compromise antennas=2E  Wh=
ile
other may work OK in the shack with normal antennas, they invariably put
out hash on the lower bands when I used them in portable situations=2E

The fan on the MFJ is a little loud so I put a 1W, 51 ohm resistor in one
of the fan leads=2E  It=92s much quieter and still runs cool as a cucumber=
 with
the K2/100 on 100W CW=2E
