It's local oscillator a DDS system completely unlike the K1. One of the
advantages of the direct digital synthesis (DDS) system is that it can =
cover
wide frequency ranges. The KX1 covers not only the entire 40/30/20 meter =
Ham
bands but much of the surrounding frequencies as well for SWL-ing.
