Hi
If you use a digital camera you learn a lot about batteries. These =
cameras are power hogs so I am always looking for a better battery. I =
have used several brands but the Maha Powerex batteries are the best in =
my experience. There is a very well done test and review of just about =
every AA battery on the market at=20
http://www.imaging-resource.com/ACCS/BATTS/BATTS.HTM
The Maha has consistently won the best in this review for several years =
as the power output has gone up. Only a year ago 1700-1800 mA was about =
the best you could do. A few months 2000 mA was the hot battery. Now it =
is 2200 mA. But be careful some of the really high capacity batteries =
may have a short life span and don't like to be overheated when =
charging. The Maha cells do not have this problem. I am currently using =
3 sets of 2000 mA cells in my camera and flash. I have two sets of 1800 =
mA cells in my K1. I do not have any of the 2200 mA cells yet but they =
should work great if past history is any indication. You can get them =
from=20
http://www.mahapowerex.com/
I have no interest in Maha other than I use their batteries and chargers =
and they work well for me in the manor I use them. YMMV

It seems to me that some of the NiMH batteries perform better than=20
others. I have bought a range of these of varying capacities from =
1300mA=20
to 2000mA over the past year branded 'Uniross' or Vanson' and =
probably=20
of Far East origin. However, without exception, the Epson Branded=20
1500mA batteries that came with my digital camera 3 years ago *still*=20
outlast all of them by a considerable margin. This is a UK =
perspective=20
of course, is this a worldwide problem or am I just unlucky?
