Secondary Menu Functions
RIT/XIT Range Selection  (RIT)
Press MENU,  then DISPLAY,  then rotate thru the menu
until you see    r it   0.6

Yes,  letter r,  then a space, then  it  0.6.
It has four ranges of  plus or minus  .6,  1.2,  2.4,  and 4.8 kHz.
For   4.8 kHz, select  4.8,  and tap  MENU twice.
page 100- " RIT/XIT offset range (up to +/-  4.8kHz)"
"RIT is used to select one of four RIT/XIT OFFSET ranges."
Annunciators will flash if you have  1.2,  2.4, or 4.8 kHz ranges
selected.  Note:  there is also a SPLIT configuration for saving 
per-band SPLIT changes.  Normally it does not save
per-band.   Ref.  page 101.
