[Elecraft] K2 Microphone

I have heard some state that the Elecraft MH-1 microphone
is a simple electret element. If this is true, then I find the
size of the mic to be extreemly large.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a desk style microphone
that would be proportional to the size of the K2.  The Heil is 
huge compared to the rig.  I would prefer not to use a 
"rice box" mic. Any ideas? Perhaps the TenTec desk mic?
