I, also, have a ClearSpeech speaker.
When I plug it into the K2's speaker jack, I get much less volume than when
I plug in a standard 4 Ohm speaker. This is the same when plugging it into
the SG-2020.
Normal volume setting for me on the K2 is about 9:00 o'clock. With the
ClearSpeech I have to crank it up to about 11:00 o'clock.
It is possible to use the gain settings in the KDSP2 unit to increase audio
output *BUT* it is not recommended (possible overdriving of the xDSP chip)

BTW Readily available audiophile speakers (HiFi, surround,etc) all appear to
be 8 Ohms, whereas automobile speakers are generally 4 Ohms.
