Chokes are non-directional and can be installed in either direction.
It's just nice when they are color coded that you put them all facing
the same direction so if you are looking for errors or what not you can
read the values easily.

Subject: [Elecraft] Questions about chokes

Hi all

I am working on the KPA100 for my K2 and I cam across these tiny little
chokes. and I now have a question. Does it matter witch way you put in a

choke? The larger chokes seam to have an outline on the board that
indicates that it may be directional. I always just put them in with the

tolerance indicator on the end of the indicator with the thick band
(before
you ask, no I didn't confuse the choke with a diode, at least not yet
:-).
But on miniature chokes 1/8w there seams to be no way to tell. So is
this
important or did my arranging of the larger chokes just make for a more
consistent look?
