[Elecraft] K2 Volume

I got the battery pack for my K2. When I installed it, I noticed that
the volume output had increased. I messed with it for a while to see
what was causing the increase, and it was the stiffening of the lid in
which the speaker is mounted.
The brace, etc for the battery really stiffens up the top cover. If a
speaker is mounted in a flexible material the counter movement will
partly cancel the speaker output.
Putting in the battery really improved the tone and output of the
speaker.
I wonder if anyone complaining about low volume on a K2/100. The
speaker there also has a good stiff mount.
Guy.
