I can tell you first-hand, using my pre-production KX1, that in my =
opinion
it sounds very nice SWL-ing and on SSB.=20

There's not a lot of "highs" in the audio, but it's not at all 'pinched'
sounding either. The fairly narrow bandwidth makes cruising SSB and AM =
for
casual listening on the "short waves" very pleasant. The fact that it's
receiving AM using only one sideband reduces the amount of selective QSB
distortion and other problems that conventional AM receivers experience. =

filters and not much way to compare to a narrower filter like Wayne is
describing. What's you guess as tp how it would sound?
  Also, how exactly does crossbanding work on this rig?
