This is good to know.  So far, nary a bit of 
smoke, choke or barf.  The unit's running cool; 
after I finished the alignment and messing 
around, the heat sink wasn't even warm to the 
touch.  

Will go ahead and finish with the final assembly 
tonight (install speaker and top cover, etc.), 
and try to make some contacts.  (Need some R&R 
before diving into the KDSP, KX160, KNB2, and SSB 
adapter that are still on the workbench awaiting 
assembly.)
