[Elecraft] KX1 FAQ pending

Here is another two questions.

Power out is from 1-4 watts. With the six, if I remember right, internal 
batteries what is the power out?

Can I add four external batteries in series to bring the voltage up to 12 
Volts to get the power up, or do I need to run a 10 cell external battery pack?
