I sent an email message to the reflector on 9/2/02, but received
the following error message.

     - Email Message Error - [from [email protected]]

********** Sorry, the message could not be delivered **********

USER IS OVER THE QUOTA - The users email quota has exceeded. The
message could not be delivered. Please try again later.

No one commented on the message so I assume it received no distribution.
However, the message did get added to the Elecraft reflector archive.
Go figure. Anyway, here is the original message with a few minor mods
(but no toroids):

Since we're making our K2 firmware wishes known, here's mine:

One of the minor irritations of the K2 calibration procedure
occurs when one recalibrates the filter BFO values. Even when
no change is needed for a given filter, it is still necessary
to change the value a little then set it back to the previous
value to force a [recalculation and] save operation.

Why not simply mark the BFO frequency as "changed" even if no
adjustment has been made. That way, when moving to a different
mode or filter selection, the value will be saved whether the user
made an adjustment or not. Saving an unchanged value does no harm
[other than a short delay].

Beyond this approach to saving single BFO entries, would it be
possible to have a global flag [or option] that says, in effect, upon
exit from the CAL FIL operation "[calculate and] save all filter BFO values"
regardless of whether any changes have been made? Then we could simply enter
CAL FIL and immediately exit, updating all values at once.
