My 2 pennies into the pool -
The newer crystals make the slope on the high frequency end of the filter
better.
Perhaps the time is right to revert to the 'old' method.
I find it disconcerting to hear the pitch of the signal go DOWN when I move
UP in frequency, so I would like the firmware to do the switching for me.
