Hmm! You do seem to have a sticky problem (g). Actually, that is one of
a few steps in construction which either go so easily you hardly think
about it or you end up uttering a number of mighty oaths as you proceed.
In my case, it did not seem to be a problem. I put the white paper
backing down on the work surface and, using the point of a knife blade,
eased up one corner of the tape (with the brown backing attached) until
I could get a hold on it and gently pulled it from the white backing
sheet. I then very carefully aligned it with the green filter edge and
attached it to the filter. After repeating the same steps with the
second tape and attaching it to the other edge of the filter I used the
knife blade technique to carefully tease up one corner of the brown
protecting paper and removed the brown paper strips from the tape. Then
I proceeded to install it to the inside of the LED bar graph hole as per
the instructions. I had no problems with it curling up etc. Of course
you should not remove the brown paper until next to the last step.
Perhaps that paper not only protects that side of the adhesive but
prevents the tape from curling. By the time you do remove the brown
paper the other side of the tape will already have been attached to the
green filter and it will not go anywhere at that point.
Good luck.

Folks,
I have yet to figure out how to remove the white backing from the tape
to
stick the green filter behind the front panel. As a matter of fact I'
not
really good at getting the brown paper off. I wound up using thin,
clear 3M
double-sided tape.
Once I get any color of paper off, the "tape" immediately wads up into
a
useless gooey mess.
What have I missed? How do you get the tape off, especially the white
side
first? It may be my problem. If it is, don't let me try to walk and
chew
bubblegum at the same time!
Help?
