Actually snowed up here for a bit yesterday [Harrington, Washington], 
but the very strong winds blew all the leaves out of my QTH so now I 
have more build time on my K2 project !!! Have completed the basic K2 
unit, and 4 out of the 7 option kits that came with it. Will be heading 
to Bill Spauldings QTH this week end to tune it up proper and start 
practice on my code. While winding the toroids I looked up the formulas 
in my textbook for our Communications Systems class and decided to work 
the formula for each one I wound...just for fun. On the mid term exam 
last night there were three questions for extra credit [5 points each] 
...yup... all 3 on toroid formulas!  The professor didn't spend much 
time on them in class, only one sentence in my class notes and no 
questions about them on previous quizzes .... thanks to Elecraft 
experience I got  15 extra points on my exam for a 115% score.... finals 
are 19 November .... every point counts ....
