That experience isn't limited to new ops. Seems that when people run
out of the textbook QSO, they suddenly have a phone call, dinner call,
or something very important to do right now. Either they really do,
else they're too embarrassed to say they didn't really catch your
question, else they just wanted another Q but didn't wanna chat. Or
something. (Sigh) I'm up for a good ol' ragchew myself. I'd love to
see more of us move away from textbook QSO's to real communication
again. What do  I mean again...it's been like that since I started,
although I expect to a lesser degree. (Am I old enough to be
nostalgic?) I won't even bother paraphrasing Alice's Restaurant, but
you get the idea.
