I used code tapes in the car that had about an hour of ARRL practice
sessions, recorded off the air. I used tapes that were at least twice the
speed I could copy at home with a pencil. Just listen for the letters (you
can't write and drive). Soon you will be copying most of the letters sent.
Then when you are at home your accuracy is much better.

Now you can make a CD from ARRL sessions. You can get the old sessions off
of the ARRL web site in MP3. Or plug your rig into the PC and record that
way. Then you just record them to the CD. You can make a 15 WPM, 20 WPM,
etc. Then listen to it every day as you drive to work or use a portable CD
player and listen as you ride to work. Could even use one of these new MP3
players. The ARRL sessions are machine code and properly spaced (above 15
WPM).
