I guess you could just add a general purpose PNP transistor set up as an
emitter follower to source more current here, say 10-20 mA if desired.
If I am right (it's right after midnight here!), it would take one PNP
plus a resistor in addition to the circuitry shown in Tom/Wayne's memo.
