You are correct, Wolf. For the same reason I use CW reverse as default
on 15, 12, and 10 meters. In this way, rotation of the VFO up in
frequency always gives an increase in CW pitch, and I don't have to
think which way to go in order to adjust the pitch.

The reason is the K2 mixing scheme, with the VFO frequency higher than
the RF frequency for the low bands, and VFO lower than the RF for the
three highest bands. This decreases the range that the VFO has to cover,
and the reward for us is better frequency stability and less phase
noise.
