"I am looking for a logging program. Currently, my computer is across the
room from the K2 so I do not need rig control or DX spots.
My first goal for using a computer logbook is keeping track of award
progress and other interesting statistics. I am also hoping to reduce my
QSL expenses by only QSLing contacts that will advance my DXCC or WAS
status. Finally, I hope that automating the outgoing QSLs will save me
some time.
Obviously, the program needs to be inexpensive and easy to use if the
second two goals are to be realized.
I first evaluated the free Logger32. The features in this program are
great, and you can't ask for a better price! Unfortunately, the beta
version seems to still have a lot of bugs, and unimplemented features."

Until KC4ELO gets the bugs worked out of his 32-bit version (Logger32), I
recommend that you download his 16-bit version from
http://www.qsl.net/kc4elo/logger.htm. It does everything you want (plus
a lot more).
Download version 707bfull (1.94M) and 807updt (450k). I've been using
this freeware program for several years and haven't observed a single
bug.
The award and QSL tracking features are great and, if you're a low band
DXer, you'll find his built-in version of the geoclock greyline map quite
handy. It also has features you said you didn't want (and don't havre to
implement), like rig control and packet clustering, among other things.
