[Elecraft] Let us be the representatives of "our" Elecraft ...

My point is, Atlanticon is supposed to be the "other" big QRP shindig, and it
hasn't had "Official Elecraft Recognition."

Ladies and gentlemen, Elecraft has mentioned to me that if I wanted to
host them at a hamfest they would supply me with materials and things. A
large convention like Atlanticon , or Hamvention , or even a small town
hamfest would go a long way in building this companies customer base.
Sales is what drives any business. If we the loyal customer base were to
put actions to our feelings and loyalty to the company and offer to be
where they cannot be, hundreds of us all across this grand Republic,
maybe the cost of a full blown representation by Elecraft at the large
shows on a regular basis would be a viable option? After all, virtually
every one of us on this list has invested a lot of faith in this
company, a lot of time and yes, a lot of money.
This truly is "our" Elecraft too, let us share in the load and help
build it. I do not know why they haven't as of yet attended Atlanticon,
or any other shows, but my guess is one of development costs in time and
money and just plain good old lack of both. We are the one company
resource that can turn this around. I bought my K2 because I watched
this list and listened to all the good information about the product and
the company.
So, to put my money where my mouth is, for those living in the
Spokane, WA area, let's form a group and ask Elecraft to supply us with
banners, brochures or what ever, take our rigs to the next hamfest in
Spokane or Missoula .... and host the shows ourselves! My home phone
number is [509] 253-4758 ... available when I'm not yammering on the net
.. till my K2 is done that is ... and let's have a Eastern Washingtoncon
.... and we'll be the reps for "our" Elecraft! I look forward to meeting
you on the air, and hopefully some day (if I can afford it) Atlanticon
or Pacificon ... we have great resources in our area, and there are
great individuals all over who can make this a truly worthwhile effort.
