[Elecraft] Transverter Rear Panel Silkscreen Error Tx/RX Jacks and other notes

The rear panel silkscreen on my 144 and 222 transverters have TxIn/IF1 and
RXIn/IF2 reversed. The manual is correct as are the jumpers, which I had
traced out.

I finished building the 144MHz transverter and was testing this evening. I
could not seem to get the proper power output for the given input level
(using DEM TIK2 transverter interface so have only a few mW output.).
Tested on higher power as well. I configured mine for split and it was
puzzling at first. I could still hear, but not well, and could TX, but at
only a few watts with way too much drive level than expected.

Additional builder notes: the instructions ommitted (or I could not find it?
- my eyesight is not what it used to be) installing Q6 on the RF board, a
PN2222 in the IF level adjust section. The schematics verified it should be
there and I needed it for my transverter drive level output from my K2.

C53 is the big funny triangular looking dude. It took me bit to realize
that this was indeed a cap and C53 at 18pf.

The Note on Page 34 says W1 and W2 are used only when separate transmit and
receive antennas are used and K1 is NOT installed. This is actually W2 and
W3 and is correctly stated in the instructions earlier on the page. You
will just scratch your head when you get to this note is all.

I chose to tilt back Q4 near the front panel slightly in case the top were
to bow a bit for some reason.

Now on to build the 222MHz transverter! Looking forward to trying out some
JT44 EME with my new Elecraft 2M transverter! This went together very
nicely. I need to add the KIO2 kit to the K2 and try out the integration
that is possible. I will be also using this 2M transverter to drive
microwave transverters for 903 and up.

73,
