John,

I received the same e-mail earlier today. It does contain an attatchment
with a virus.

I also thought "maybe" some kind soul had taken pity on this poor old man
and ordered a KX1 or some other exotic toy, but alas....

Anyone receiving this e-mail should delete it at once.

Subject: [Elecraft] Virus warning

Folks:

I just received an email allegedly from Aimee Tavera at Elecraft, saying
my K2 order has been shipped. The enclosure with that email (entitled
Control bag BOM.xls.pif) turned out to be a virus. Fortunately, my
Linux machine wasn't affected by it. When I tried to look at the
enclosure with my Win98 machine, Norton caught it and deleted it.

For a minute, I thought the XYL had ordered something from Elecraft for
my Christmas present. No such luck! Anyway, please beware. It looks
like a virus may have infected the computer at Elecraft.

Hope this wasn't off-topic too much. I figured everyone should know
about it.
