Hello Terry,
 I am just arriving at the same stage you are at with your K2, I too 
have about all the options except the 100 watt amp and the DSP options. 
I am sticking very close to the manual so I should be able to tell in 
the next day or so whether the SSB option makes a difference. I have not 
built that option yet. I did put in the pins for the audio processor 
option, and used jumpers in place of the soldered in jumpers per the 
manual, other than that, it is "right out of the book" construction. 
I'll watch with interest any replies posted on this list for you ...
