[Elecraft] KPA100 problem

I just realized a similar problem that may be related.

When playing around in the JARTS rtty contest, with pwr set to 50W, after
just short while, it would seem like my swr is fluctuating, my fan would be
going on and off and sometimes the power would drop down to almost nothing.
I may get a HI REFL warning the the PA HOT message.  I would go to CAL TPA
and it would read like 256C.  I adjust it down to 20C.  Operates OK the does
it again.  Also when adjusting the sound card out for just one bar blinking
of ALC, almost all the ALC bars flash intermitantly.

This happened on 40 and 20M but when I switched to 15 I did not notice the
problem.  ANY IDEAS?

Noticed that my K2/100 using SSB was probably oscillating on 40 when the
temperature
of the PA heatsink is warm. Not overheated but warm.
No warnings on the display of the K2, signal was run thru
a KAT100 and Drake 1kW dummy.

My K2 has all the latest and greatest mods, so the PA shield is also new.

I used to have this problem of fake high swr and hi cur stuff before on a
badly tuned antenna,
but this is different.

Output during this oscillation is >100 watts

On other bands no problem AFAIK. When K2 is cold, no problem. In CW no
problem.

If this sounds familiar, please let me know what you did to solve it.
