[Elecraft] Vertical phasing using Christman KB8I method

Has anyone used the antenna array phasing method described by Al Christman
KB8I in the May 1985 Ham Radio Mag and later used in the book "Low Band
DX-ing."  There is another article by KB8I in the May 1992 QST but I can't
seem to find this issue in my files (files = storage room, hamshack, couch,
etc).  The implementation seems ultimately simple but I don't quite
understand how some of the measurements were made.  How easy was it and how
well did it work? are the two main questions.
