George,
  My father in law says the first 80 years are the hardest ... when I 
asked him about the second 80 he just smiled and said " you gotta live 
em to love em ..."
It is good to hear your message since it is encouragement, I hope 
someday to have a few war stories about my 60+ years of ham experience 
... now that would be an accomplishment!
