G'day,

reason.

I only have the downloaded PDF copy and sure you can magnify the schematic,
on screen, and you get a stiff neck viewing it 90 degrees out. I haven't
figured out how to print it larger yet. I did do a graphics copy and drop
it into MS Word but dragging it to A4 size doesn't do it any legibility
favours. I will try enlarging it on the photo-copier but I'm not sure how
it will handle the colours.

It is a common problem these days that forms are designed to fit the paper
and not the information that is supposed to be entered on them. In this
case the schematic has been shrunk to fit on folded legal size paper
(assuming it's printed the same as the other mini-modules) which renders it
virtually illegible. It can't be sensible, to print and distribute a manual
of which parts can't be read and then helpfully suggest you download another
version of it just so as you can read it. A total waste of paper and ink.

Something else to consider is the colour combination, red and blue. These
are at near opposite ends of the visible spectrum and the eyes don't focus
them the same. To place both in the same small field of detail view makes
for difficult viewing. This was the finding of a Swiss company (Autelca)
whilst researching the best visual presentation on small VDU's on ticket
vending machines.

So, how about reproducing the schematics, monochrome, on the web site full
size 8-1/2 x 11 inches, personally I would prefer A4 but won't die in a
ditch over it.
