You may want to rerun CAL PLL. I found that it is 100%
necessary to have the rig's covers ON and have it sitting
in the operating location, with the bail flipped down (etc.)
if that is how you intend to use the rig, and finally, make
sure it has warmed up for 1/2 hr.=20
First time I ran CAL PLL I had the top cover off and when I
mounted the cover, I heard artifacts like you mention.
(Nothing bad heard on tx though, so maybe your problem is
something else. But the chirp sounds suspiciously like
the PLL area.)
