As if Alan needs any endorsement from me...

If you can't, or don't want to, build your own K2, Alan does excellent
work. He built my K2/100 (#3491), which I've had now for a week. It
works great and seems to be well tuned up, the filters seem like
they're well callibrated, everything in short is put together very
nicely. No sloppy workmanship here. I've gotten a good audio report on
SSB, as well. 

BTW, does anyone know how to clear memories out of the memory keyer? I
accidentally triggered one that Alan put in that sent "nst nst de
w1hyv" or something. Sure hope no one actually heard it, cause it
definitely wasn't Alan. Please don't turn me into Riley for falsely
identifying as Alan! 

Anyway, I sure can't say enough good about his work. Sorry, I can't
say whether he wrote down filter settings in the manual or not, since
I can't actually read the manual and haven't had anyone look, but it
wouldn't surprise me at all if he did...his work is thorough in every
other respect.
