Hi All,
I've searched the archives for info on a problem with the 'Power Output' 
control without success - I know I've seen some reference to it but can't 
locate it.
Just commenced '40-Meter Transmitter Alignment' (page 72).
After setting the Power control to 2 watts and holding 'Tune', I get 18 watts to 
the dummy load (external wattmeter) plus 'Hi-Current' display.
If I reduce the 'Power control to 0.2 watts (approx) I get 2 watts output to the 
dummy load (Heathkit Cantenna), but advancing the Power control towards 
0.5 watts and holding 'Tune' suddenly increases output to 18 watts.   Seems 
like it's all or nothing.   I'm sure I remember someone having this same 
problem a year or two ago - just can't locate the archive.
Once again, I'd be grateful for your guidance.

P.S.   I've been through all the 'Troubleshooting' procedure in the manual.
Maybe I've missed something.
