Streetlights are probably the optical equalivant of BPL. The large research
telescopes were carefully sited to be away from urban lighting. The
lighting spread and reduced the effectiveness of the telescopes. When WW II
forced blackouts, new disccoveries were made. 73 Rick

I was always interested in telescopes.
Forty years latter, I could finally afford to buy one.
But now it is never dark.
I remember seeing the Milky Way when I was a young man.
It isn't so much that one street light is a problem.
But now there are so many of them.
So I bought a radio instead....
