Checkout the camera bags at your friendly supermarket or
variety store. (Wal-Mart here in US but donno what
exists now in UK similar!) Most are padded, have zipper
compartments and I'm sure you'll find something right.
For batteries I usually use a holder for eight "AA"
Ni-MH batteries. Better if you can find a holder for 10 of them.
Don't forget the pair of 33' or 42' and 33' antenna/counterpoise
wires, and BNC/bindimg post adapter. A real fun field radio.
I just got a Palm Paddle and it is supurb! I "stick" mine
down with "Elmer's" Tac 'N Stick adhesive bue sticky putty.

I'm assuming you have the handy-dandy internal KAT-1 tuner?

Subject: [Elecraft] K1 Carrying Case

| Now I've completed my K1 I'd like to take it away on my travels. Can anybody
suggest a source for a suitable rugged carrying case that will take the K1, my Palm
Mini Paddle and a smallish sealed lead acid battery ?
| I'd be really grateful for any suggestions.
