[Elecraft] KX1 still Low Power

I don't recall a significant difference with our without the ATU. These
readings were with the ATU installed looking into a decent =
wattmeter/dummy
load combo.=20

Double check your turns (as if you haven't ten times already!) on the
toroids. As I recall during the FT, that was the most common reason for =
as
big a disparity as you are seeing (and lest I besmirch our good FT gang =
-
the reason some of them had the turns wrong was because I had them wrong =
in
the early FT manual!).=20

Thanks for that data point, Ron: First I've seen for the KX1.

So I am OK on 40 (can get to 4.4 W), low on 20 (max is 3.2 W) and TBD on =
30
(in the process of installing the 30 m module now). I wonder what I =
could
change to increase 20 without changing 40? Compressing L2 went the =
wrong
way. BTW -- L1 and L2 are OK turnwise. Perhaps fiddling with the
transformer is next .. assuming I care about the differnce between 3.2 W =
and
3.8 W :-)

I will rethink all of this after I get the 30 m band going.

BTW .. is your data with or without the atu installed? Will that make a
difference?
