[Elecraft] KX1: Problem with 30 M Module Installed

Ugh!

Installed the 30 m module and at power on, no LED.  Resistance checks 
say the 5 V line (MCU pin 1) is shorted..

Since the insulated lines 5 and D connect tothe 5 V line, and they look 
to be correctly installed .. and I can see no shorts on the bare wires 
.. this suggests something is amiss on the 30 m PCB itself.  With the 
components all invisible with it installed, I will need to remove it to 
see what is going on.  Unfortunately, there is no table of resistances 
fot this simple board.

R&R of the 30 m PCB is a bitch, to say the least.

Before I do it, does anyone have some thoughts?  It does seem unlikely 
that there could be a problem with such a simple item, aside from a 
component defect.

I'd better sleep on it.
