I just want to tell Nick, I worked K2PQ on Saturday... twice... 40 meters
and 400 miles.  And he is a superior CW op.  On our second QSO, I'm sure he
had to work hard to dig me out since the batteries weren't fresh and I was
only putting out 1 watt.  He had 5 watts, I got to enjoy an additional 7dB
of signal.  I think I talked him into ordering a KX1.  Do I get a sales
commission?

I was working from a field across from my hotel in Blacksburg, VA when I
had a few hours to burn before the VA Tech, Boston College debacle.  What a
blast that was, warm sun, good prop.  Doesn't get much better than that.
Game sucked if you're a Hokie fan...

Regarding a case, the Pelican 1050 micro case is about perfect.  Fits the
rig, earbuds, paddle, pencil and small notepad with no slop.  It's water
and crush proof too.
