Hi Paul, I brought this up around 18 months ago and Earl K6SE provided
the answer as follows:
Select SSBA in the menu, then EDIT. Then rotate the VFO knob until you
see SSBA BAL, then exit the menu..
Now you'll be able to monitor your mike audio (no signal is transmitted
on the air in this mode).
To exit the SSBA BAL mode, change menu item SSBA to 1, 2, or 3.
