[Elecraft] AA NiMh inside K2

Does any manufacturer of battery holder make a 10 cell one for "AA"'s? Or even two 5
cell ones! Or possibly does anyone make a 10 cell battery box? An all plastic one
with a
sliding lid would be nice!

| I use an external 10-cell AA NiMH pack with my K1 at 5 watts with good
| success. Current cells are 1600 mAh (I've had them for four or so
| years) but the 2200 mAh replacements are on order.
|
| I plan to use this (and internal Li cells) mostly with the KX1 I'm now
| building.
|
| The two issues for use inside a K2 would seem to be:
|
| o Packaging: Seems like plenty of room if you can find the right holder
| and attach it securely
|
| o Charging: May have to remove it from the radio or add a charging port
| and use something like a Maha C-777 charger. This I've not given any
| thought to since I don't have any interest in using a battery in my K2
| (which is now configured as a K2/100 and has no room for a battery!).
