[Elecraft] Slow Relay-Hi SWR-Shutdown

Been gone for the past few weeks and finally back.
Think I have read everything on the K2/100 - Amplifier - high SWR - 
shutdown and did not see any answers or solutions to the problem.
This is present on both of my K2/100's.
I use CT or NA for most of my operating, both in and outside of contests.
So why not use a feature in those contest loggers - PTTDELAY to delay CW 
from the PC until the relay in the amp is picked?  Not possible with the 
K2/100.  PTT is not PTT when the K2/100 is on CW, it is full output.
Is there a line I could stick out the back of the radio to pick just the 
PTT which would pick the relay in the amp and not have the K2/100 go to 
full output?
This has been getting kind of frustrating - this problem is repeatable with 
the K2's did not exist with the amp (AL-1200) before using the K2's and 
still doesn't with the other radios.
Other than going to an Alpha or a QSK kit, has there been a solution that I 
missed in the archives?
