[Elecraft] two application running via KIO ??

I like to run two applications on the PC simultaneously that communicate
with my K2 / KIO interface.
One is Hamradio Deluxe and the other is N3FJP's logging program.
However, I can just run one program at the time. If I try to start up
the next application I get an error message that my COM port is already
in use. Is there a way to solve this, with some kind of software trick,
to run both applications, using the same com port?
