I found that my KX1 fits nicely in a common 'camera' pouch such as sold for
the current generation of small digital cameras. The KX1 fits nicely in the
main pouch, leaving the auxiliary pouch free for the antenna, key and note
paper. And the whole thing can slip in my Gortex jacket pocket if Oregon is
doing its "rain thing".

It isn't crush-proof, but I don't usually go overnight hiking with a back
full of stuff that might damage it.

It should, Aron. The KX1 is less than half the size of an FT817, so you'll
have room for a novel or some fishing gear, too  ;)
