[Elecraft] K2 Synthesiser noise

thanks to those who replied direct to my posting on 7 Nov on this subject -
particularly AB9GV, as he fingeredthe problem a short head in front of Gary
at Elecraft. Voltage cecks were a little low and on checking the resistance
of RFC15 in circuit it seemed to be in excess of 25Kohms, and that was
definitely odd. On lifting the 5v end of the device it disintegrated
completely - which did not improve my temper.
However a search of the spares rack turned up a 47uH emc filter type choke
small enough to fit in the available space so this was haywired in and
effected an immediate cure. All quiet in the henhouse!
The correct part is being ordered and I can now carry on with assembling and
installing the options to get 3722 fully on air.
